"The Royal Savoy is wonderful Resort, perfectly positioned to stroll into town but with a location and setting that provide exclusive privacy and luxury to its members. We have had many excellent weeks stay there and often found ourselves not even leaving the complex for days on end. The restaurant is very reasonably priced with 5* quality but in addition the apartment has full facilities to prepare your own meals and dine out on its private balcony (not overlooked in any way) with uninterrupted views over the ocean. When we bought this timeshare we looked at many of the alternatives in Funchal town and in the Lido area but none of them came close to the quality at the Royal Savoy, and our reason for selling is that we bought more weeks there than we have time to use. Also week, 13 frequently coincides with Easter weekend and the resort makes it a very special occasion. If you are looking for a genuine five star resort (to UK standards which is often not the case abroad) then you must consider this."
